I sent an email regarding my cake I ordered, but I never even received a response apologizing for the cake, I was blatantly ignored. I understand i sent an email saying whatever looked good to you as the decorations (not meaning stray completely away from the picture, but the small side decor), but the pumpkin had a spiderweb (which had nothing to do with the cake theme)...and purple/black polka dots(for a boy). The cake was a 360 degree difference in the cake i wanted. I saw other cakes she had made and they looked great, my cake, looked nothing whatsoever like the picture I sent her. As a cake decorator i was under the impression that she was creative that she would make a cake and even with minute details and a picture make it look like it, or at least awesome. If the roles were reversed i highly doubt she could say that she would have paid $85 for that cake that i paid for. My son turned four and I was not thrilled whatsoever, by the time we served the cake we ended up stripping it completely and adding our own decorations to make it look decent. I wasn't going to cause a ruckus because i figured it would taste great, but the both layers were completely dry and the frosting didn't even taste like butter cream, we literally threw out an entire layer of cake because none of the guest, including kids wanted to eat it.. This birthday was very important to me because I will miss his next birthday because I deploy for 12 months at the beginning of the new year. If the taste made up for the horrible decor on it then i would not even bother. If Publix were to have unsatisfied customers they honor that and refund the customer. There is no way that cake was worth $85 that i paid. I feel as if i was taken advantage of due to the fact that i live out of state. If i would have been the one to pick it up i would have refused the cake. That was NOT WHAT I ORDERED. I work my butt off as a single military mom and earn every penny i make, to be screwed over when i am just trying to give my son a great birthday is not something that i take halfheartedly, especially since this one was so important for us. Not only was I taken advantage of as a single mother, but as a soldier who works her butt off for the small things, and if she did not even have the audacity to write back to a simple email apologizing for my cake. For a small business I figured she would have been military friendly, but that goes to show the type of respect. I will never order from her again, nor will i suggest her to anyone. This is the subjective opinion of an independent reviewer and not of Decidio, Inc.
