Not what we hoped
On October 4th, 2016 I emailed Lisa Davenock about a last minute engagement fall session. Lisa quickly emailed us back and quoted us $250 for our session & an 8x8 framed print. We would be traveling from NY back to Worcester Mass., (our engagement location) to do our photos. We decided to meet October 13th. October 12th, I decided to touch base with Lisa, I am grateful I did so because she asked to push our time back an hour. Which was fine, things happen and it was not worth canceling the trip over an hour wait. I want to note Lisa was beyond helpful, always emailed back and made me feel confident for our shoot. October 13th, that morning I heard no word from Lisa, so I sent her an email letting her know we had arrived and were sight seeing across the road from where we agreed to meet. A few minutes later Lisa emailed me back to let us know she was just arriving, I replied that we would be right over. Upon arriving we greeted her and paid her in cash ($250) Lisa was great, helped fix my hair from the windy conditions, posed us, and learned about our family. We wrapped up about shooting for roughly an hour and a half. Lisa told us she had a few weddings to edit and we would see our photos in about 2 weeks. We heard nothing more. November 4th, we contacted Lisa just to touch base and see how the pictures were coming. No response. We played a waiting game and would send emails every so often. No response. November 10th, using a facebook account under a different name inquiring as a new customer Lisa responded the same day. Although my fiance and I had heard nothing. November 20th, Lisa finally sends out an email to us. After reading some other reviews on Lisa we began to panic and reached out to anyone we could in hopes we would receive an update, anything, from Lisa. On the 20th Lisa informed us she understood our anticipation she claimed they were nearly ready and would be up later that night as she was sorting through some things. I wish we had been told that in the beginning so avoid us having to beg and find what happened to our photos especially when we paid in cash, full. Novembee 24th, 2016. Lisa finally uploads our pictures. Though I am sure we will never see our framed print. I hope this review honestly helps someone. Although Lisa was great from the get go, I would not want anyone to go through this same stress of not having answers. As a small business owner as well, a simple reply to one of our first emails giving us some kind of peace of mind would have been appreciated.
