The food is fine, but the service is terrible. We got married over a year ago & used 2 Chicks b/c we assumed that we would receive attentive personalized service if we went w/ this company. This was a huge mistake. On the day of our reception, 2 Chicks had overbooked themselves w/ 5 receptions. Needless to say, a lot of stuff that was in our contract was completely overlooked. I'm actually only writing this review now b/c I was looking over some old wedding stuff & I found an email that I wrote to 2 Chicks after my wedding to complain. In addition to the poor service we received at our actual event, the follow-up response to my complaint was sorely lacking. Here are a few of their reception day screw ups: Was promised things in my contract (i.e. ice bins, etc.) that I had to fight for on the day of my reception. Regarding the ice bins, after I demanded that I receive them, 2 Chicks tardily sent someone in w/ something that looked like a dingy wash basin. Arranged for a single vegetarian meal, which they forgot & I had to insist they bring in mid-reception. By the time it arrived everyone else had finished eating. So despite all the lovely promises on 2 Chicks' website about providing specialized meals, don't expect your special accommodations/requests to be met in an accurate or timely manner. Contracted for Vienna rolls, but received soft bread that I swear came straight from Walmart. 2 Chicks insisted the rolls were homemade, but I have eaten enough pre-packaged dinner rolls to know one when I see it. I definitely didn't appreciate my guests being served factory bread on my wedding day. Was promised that either Beth or Nikki would personally oversee my event. Neither showed. Instead, 2 Chicks provided an on-site coordinator (basically just a server). Problem is, she was entirely unaware of the small details of my contract (hence the above-mentioned screw ups). Bigger problem: Nobody at 2 Chicks even bothered to tell me that this person was my on-site coordinator! Had anyone thought to do this, I could have communicated w/ her in advance and maybe the day would have gone more smoothly. Don't even get me started about the drink service/bar debacle! Suffice it to say, my contract said one thing, & what actually happened was definitely not what was contracted. Overall 2 Chicks demonstrated terrible communication and very poor organization. When I wrote to complain about the crappy service & everything that had fallen through the cracks, I was basically brushed off. The person who responded to my initial emails was someone I'd never spoken w/ before & she clearly had no familiarity w/ my contract. She attempted to explain away every error (i.e. pass the blame on to me) & it was only when I directly quoted her the terms of my contract that she finally apologized and offered to pass my complaint onto Nikki. Guess what? Nikki never responded. The real problem w/ 2 Chicks is the follow through. They will treat you very well through the tasting, the contract phase, etc., but in my case they failed to come through on the day of the event & the follow-up to my complaint suggests that they are not truly committed to providing good customer service. If you want your event to be well-organized, I'd recommend going w/ a different caterer. I will never use 2 Chicks again for any event. The food is fine, but it's definitely not good enough to put up with the terrible, disorganized and highly unprofessional service they provide.
