Rude and sneaky
My experience with Coyne catering has been a nightmare. Tom the owner of Coyne catering is the rudest person I have ever spoke to. He is sneaky and too old to run a business. I booked with him at Shriners last year for my September wedding. Signed a contract and put a deposit down. It wasn't until just weeks ago when I learned that they had torn out the entry way and carpet. I saw pictures of a plywood entrance. I peeked inside and it looked like a bomb went off in there. Never once in all the times I have talked to Tom did he mention anything about what the once beautiful entryway had looked like now. He agreed to meet and talk to me at the tasting. He walked in. I said hello and he flat out ignored me, he then asked who had a red car that's blocking him in and left. The tasting was horrible. Bloody fatty meat that was as tough as shoe leather, kielbasa with skin so tough you could barely cut with the serated butter knife and GLAZED carrots which were just steamed no glaze what so ever. The whole dining experience was barely edible. So we decided to back out not just because of the horrible food but also the way we were treated and how sneaky he was to not even mention any sort of construction. So we called Tom to tell him how we felt. We asked for our deposit back. He said I don't have it. I'll call you tomorrow. He never called. Again we called him and he said I told you to call me on Saturday. I will give you the new owners number. We asked what will he say about it he said He will most likely tell you to shove it up your ass. Then hung up. We are not only infuriated, but we are also out that deposit money. We also had to scramble around to find a new venue and have all new invites made. Don't trust this catering company. It's a waste of time, money, and not worth all the aggrivation.
To the Staff at Michauds Towne and ...
This past weekend our daughter and Son in Law Nicolette Kaloger and Justin Szydlowski were married, and our choice hall was your Venue, the Grand Ball Room. As the mother of the bride, I want to say how exceptionally nice the reception was. Michauds staff from beginning to end were magnificent. I truly mean this, from two years ago when we booked the event to the final moments of cleaning up the hall with all our personal touches added to the tables. Many times, once the payment is secured to book an event or venue and there is no turning back or you will lose your deposit, suddenly the staff dont seem so friendly and helpful. This was not the case with Michauds. They always led us in the right direction, and anytime me or my husband called for advice or questions, they were always so hospitable and provided us with the needed answers. Most often, their response was, Dont worry, we take care of that. The day before the wedding when a group of us went in to add the final touches to the hall, it was so nice to see it pretty much set up with all the tables decorated nicely. Debbie, our hostess and staff manager was with us every step of the way. She was extremely kind and took the stress off any situation. Finally at the end of the night, I personally, got stressed knowing we had only about a half hour to collect all our belongings. I could imagine how we would do this in such a short time. There again, Debbie was so helpful and patient with us. Even moving all our centerpieces and things to one table. I really dont know when they did it, as it seemed out stepped out of the room for a moment, only to return and find them all there. This was the same too with lighting all the candles and turning on all the mini lights in the centerpieces, and lighting around the table. I suggested they start at 3p.m. the day of the wedding, she assured me that they could start at 5 p.m. and get it all done before the guest arrive. She and her staff sure did. To walk in to such an eloquent Ball room, made all feel so special. The food was excellent, too. Our daughters wedding looked like something that only the rich and famous can afford, and yet we were able to afford it, as Michauds do not Nickle and dime its customers. Their menu is top notch and you dont have to break the bank. All the guest I spoke with commented to me how gorgeous the hall was, and it was a perfect wedding. That term perfect wedding was said several times over that night. Looking back, I can truly agree with them. I would recommend Michauds to anyone planning an event, and particularly a big wedding as we did. Thank you so much for your hospitality and attention to detail. Sincerely, Lori Kaloger
