We are a loose confederation of disgruntled musicians / music lovers, who are just trying to make our way through life while playing the songs that we dearly love. If we were pressed to describe who we sound like, we’d have to say that Windhaven is like April Smith meets Gogol Bordello, with Richie Havens on guitar and Kasey Chambers doing backup, while Ray Barretto wails on the congas. We don’t seem to be what anyone expects from an acoustic band (we’ve stopped using the word “acoustic”), so we’re now describing ourselves as “eclectic indie rock”.
