Vintage Ivy Events was a terrible vendor on the day of my wedding. I hired her as a day of coordinator maybe 2 weeks before the wedding. She was referred to me. I was confident in her work because of the referral and she looked as if she knew what she was doing by contacting all of the vendors, giving them the pertinent information they needed for the day of the wedding. When it came to the day, the vendor displayed a complete lack of knowledge of her job. My maid of honor had to leave the hotel room where we were all getting dressed to get our bouquets. Our ceremony did not take place where it was suppose to. She told the vendor that I wanted it somewhere else. That didn't make sense to me because I had been planning the location with the vendor months before I ever contacted Vintage Ivy Events. When it was time to start the ceremony I don't know what she was doing. The photographer was the person who came to get myself and the bridesmaids from the hotel to let us know it was time. I never really knew what she was off doing. My pictures after the ceremony with family members and friends needed some direction, I could have used her help there but she was no where to be found. After we took pictures she didn't bring us any food from the cocktail hour. Every question I asked her, the answer was always I don't know. That should never be the answer for the person you are working for because you would never tell your boss that. This is what really made me and my family upset. She never tried to cater to the needs of the bride and groom. She allowed the serving company who she worked with before to direct her in what she was suppose to be doing. She came and told us that the server will not be serving the bridal party. Now common sense should then tell you that someone must serve them. So either you tell the server that is not acceptable or you do it yourself. Instead my bridal party went to get their own food. It was terrible and she just allowed that to happened. During this time, I don't know what she was doing. The only other time I can remember seeing her is when we were being introduced into the reception and when the reception was over. I went to ask her for my cake and she told me it was in the back and ahe would show me where it was. I had to pack it up all by myself. I bought broaches to go on my cake and I would like them back but I have not seen them. I asked her about them but I have yet to hear anything. I am just very disappointed because I can't get my day back. Even my guest commented on Vintage Ivy Events. It was a waste of money for me. I feel that there was a lot of confusion added to the day because she was there. Together with the server they caused more trouble then help at my wedding.
