Hello, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I play the mandolin, and have provided ceremony and reception music for hundreds of weddings for the past 18 years. I most often am asked to provide background music before the ceremony, classical music (or often bluegrass, celtic or even popular music) for the ceremony, and frequently Latin or jazz music for the cocktail-dinner hour. Many former clients initially thought they wanted a classical guitar or a string quartet but changed their minds when they found me - and were very happy with the uniqueness and versatility of the mandolin.
