In the heart of Maine's capital, you'll find one of the state's most beautiful homes, built by Maine's 45th governor, John Freemont Hill (1855-1912) in 1902. This stately building was used as the governor's home until his daughter and grandchildren gave it to Oblate Fathers for a retreat home in 1949.
Since then, the Governor Hill Mansion has been used as a site for retreats, conferences, and gatherings of all kinds.
