"Great DJ - As Long As You're Not Active Military"
September 10, 2011
If you’re on active duty serving in the U.S. military – just a warning that you definitely do not want to enter into a contract with Sophisticated Gents Entertainment and here’s why. Three weeks before the wedding date my future husbands leave was cancelled and he was immediately deployed to Afghanistan. We immediately notified all of the vendors of the situation and asked that they take the monies already paid and apply it to a future date upon his return from deployment. We realized that they all had cancellation clauses, but we were not asking for refunds and just hoped for the best as this was not a situation where we just decided not to get married. All of the vendors said that they were very sorry to hear about this, and would happily apply all monies paid to a new date in order to show their appreciation for his service to our country – except for Sophisticated Gents Entertainment. When I told Fredrick (the owner) that we weren’t asking for a refund, just that application of the monies already paid to a new date he said sorry there’s no refunds for cancellations of any kind. If we wanted to use them we would be required to pay again. Needless to say we will using the services of a new vendor who has a little more compassion for what active duty military personnel and their families are going through
