I went for the first time today and I couldn't be happier. The organic products really added to the experience, and I left with my hair smelling yummy rather than all those gross chemicals. Also, the shampoo scalp message was amazing in itself. Catlin did a wonderful job, and she knew exactly how to interpret what I wanted with greater knowledge. I was also impressed and satisfied, for the first time in years, with how she cut my bangs. I've had bangs for the last 7 years and they seem to be the most difficult part of the haircut. But Catlin shaped them perfectly to flow with my face and the rest of the haircut... A difficult task to accomplish. It's nice not having to go home to fix my bangs right after having them just cut! I'll certainly be back once they start to grow out. Thanks Catlin!

First-class service at the Sam Wong Salon begins at the front desk - they are accommodating of schedules and very pleasant. The scalp massage that is part of the shampoo is amazing and begins a most relaxing experience in a beautiful setting. Sam Wong is a true professional. He listens, makes suggestion and his only focus while you are in his chair is making sure that you are satisfied. I have never been disappointed.

I have been having my hair professionally colored using Goldwell for the past 11 years. Over the last 2 years, I've noticed my hair thinning (i have fine hair as it is). I tried all kinds of products, including Chaz Dean's Wen but nothing helped. 6 weeks ago I decided to try Sam Wong salon and take a chance on the organic coloring they use. I was greeted graciously and then met with Suzie whom my appt was with. Suzie was very friendly and gave me a thorough consultation. She matched the color perfectly and even went a little lighter like I wanted (my previous stylist told me I couldn't). The color came out rich and all of my gray was covered. She gave me a sleek bob cut which was perfect for my hair type, giving it volume. I have been using the KeraGreen products they sell; on the expensive side but worth it! My hair is thicker, smoother, the color does not fade, and I am now seeing regrowth! The color lasted the same length of time as the Goldwell did; so yes, the organic color care system lasts just as well. Today was my 2nd appt and Suzie took the time to teach me how to blow my hair out just like she does. I can't imagine going anywhere else. This whole experience has been life-changing for me and I highly recommend Sam Wong salon! Thank you Suzie!

Great salon, fabulous staff and a warm welcome when you arrive. It feels like a New York salon when you walk in, minus the pretentiousness. Love the 100% Pure products, and the eco-friendly color they use I'll certainly be back. Gramercy Ariom

Just used a gift card I have had since Christams for a facial and it was the best ever! I have been driving down to DC for the past 5 years for my beauty needs, not anymore! It was as relaxing as a body massage with the addition of a clean brighter complextion. The persons name was Supriya.

I've been to this Salon four times now. I like the haircuts I've gotten and they don't try to push treatments or products, which I very much appreciate. My one complaint is that every time - and I do mean every time - I have called to make an appointment, I get put on hold and forgotten about for 10 minutes. I end up having to call back, which is really annoying. Today, after calling back and being asked to hold, I said no, I couldn't hold. That seemed to work. Too bad a place with great stylists can't organize the workflow so that clients aren't kept waiting so long - either on the phone or at the desk when checking out.

I have wavy/curly hair that, sadly, usually ends up a frizzy mess. I had given up on ever getting the smooth waves I wanted, but then I went to see Suzi at Sam Wong Salon. Not only is she super sweet and a joy to chat with, she did a fantastic job with my hair! She gave me an updated layered look and a conditioning treatment to combat the frizz monster. In addition, she gave me some great pointers on how to replicate the look at home. Now I finally have the soft, damage-free curls I've been trying for! Overall, the salon has a super friendly staff and a modern, welcoming atmosphere that feels reminiscent of a Manhattan salon. I can't wait to go back!

Just returned from my first visit to this salon and I am pretty impressed. I relocated from NY and have visited some of the cities top salons and this one is up there. My color is so natural looking and does not feel fried! Sam trimmed my hair on the house and I got to try eyebrow threading for free! I would say this place is worth a visit.

I visited this salon in October and November 2010 for cut and color. First of all, the "organic" hair color may indeed be all organic, but it was the most damaging color process that has happened to my fine textured hair since I permed it in the 1980s. Maybe those chemicals work on thicker/curly hair, but it was very damaging to mine. Last month when I went back for a color fix and cut, I was informed that Sam was overbooked and would be running about 30 minutes late. This would not have happened at a well-managed salon - especially one that charges the higher prices that this place does. And why didn't anyone call me ahead of time - did they just figure this out before I walked in the door? I was there from 3pm until 7:30pm - just for a one process color, conditioner and cut on my fairly short hair. I hated the color - for the first time in my life I was a brunette - and I specifically told Sam this 3 times before I left. Rather than offering to fix right then, or offering a refund, I was told that it would lighten up and maybe I would like it better over time. Also, the entire time he was supposed to be cutting my hair, his head was on "swivel" directing his assistant as to what to do with three other clients all scheduled for the same time. Biggest waste of time and $ - and damage to my hair.
