I originally emailed Russell about shooting my wedding. At that time the response was a little delayed which is fine. I know people are busy so I looked past it. I asked to see an example of one of his "documentary" style edited films. Almost a month passed and I still hadn't heard back from him. So, I figured he probably forgot and I let it slide. I emailed him to ask if he had a clip yet. He emailed me back with a link to all the videos he already has on his blog and website. I figured, "Whatever. His work looks awesome so I'll just deal with it." I emailed him back to tell him I wanted to book with him and never heard anything back. I let a week go by and emailed again that I wanted to book. Still nothing. Now, forget it. I won't recommend him to anyone and I will warn everyone considering him about my experience. When it comes to my wedding I want a cinematographer that I know won't flake out!
