When I shoot a wedding I try to keep it real and let the characters and events speak for themselves. Of course the DVD is better than the real thing because I edit out all the boring bits.
I use 3ccd cameras (up to three) and try to be unobtrusive. I try to avoid using lights. I feel that my job is to capture the personal moments and not the staged formal poses but that doesn't mean that you won't see the procession, vows, first dance, toast, cake cutting and bouquet and garter tossing.
The best thing about the indie sensibility is that I work on a indie budget.
