After my wedding at Mela Room my father and I told the owner how happy we were with everything. Yesterday I went with my friend to book her anniversary and the owner asked me if I minded sharing my positive experience and of course I said yes. I was very surprised to see some negative reviews as my family and I had a very good experience at Mela Room. Yes, the owner walked around at our event, but only to ensure everything was running smoothly (which my parents and I were happy about). My event planner had plenty of time to decorate and get everything ready, and had no problems when she coordinated her schedule ahead of time with the owner. He was very accommodating and we appreciated the extra time to set up earlier than our contract time. (We were told ahead of time if we came in early then all cleaning from the previous evening may not be complete). I was very fortunate to find caterers and decorators who were professional and did not blame anyone for their own lack of planning & coordinating with our wedding venue. We as hosts did not leave our picture slide shows for set up at the last minute and we did not argue about our pre-agreed to contract at the end of the night. We are extremely happy with what was promised and delivered and we have the best wedding memories. Thank you Mela Room!

We had my daughter's sweet sixteen party here and everyone had a great time. Our decorator and caterer loved that there were not many restrictions. The owner was very flexible & nice and the employees were helpful during the event. We will be booking here again its a great place for any party.

I had a wedding here the owner had originally told us that we can set up at 12:00 My caterer and wedding planner had to sit outside and wait because they did not open the doors until 2 the owner also was walking around when the event was going on he failed to mention that he also had rented the smaller room the same day as my wedding to a 4 yr old birthday party! the guest from that party kept looking and coming to my side trough out the whole wedding when my weddign planner got there she had to spend around an hr and half cleanign the place because they gave it to her all dirty from the night before i suggest if you want a stress free event go somewhere else!!

Love this place! We had a small family party in the smaller hall! It's a great place with lots of extras that are not normally included at other halls. The space can be set up to your liking and it was very family friendly considering that they also do concerts etc. there too. Best bank for your buck!

I recently attended a wedding at the Mela Room. During the wedding the temperature was over 80 degrees and well into the evening the thermostat read 79 degrees. During the entire evening the owner was seen walking around the event in plain street clothes. One of the bridesmaids had spent two weeks preparing a presentation of the bride and grooms life and the arrangements where made in advance within the contract that the projector would be made availble for use. During the reception she was told that she would not be able to use the projector unless she paid an extra absorbant fee. The presentation was never shown! I have never seen such unprofessionalism by an owner of a company, let alone at such a formal event. BE AWARE, and LOOK elsewhere if you want to have a special event that you can enjoy without having many issues arise.
