When it was completed in 1875, the Collin County Courthouse was considered the tallest building in Texas north of San Antonio. In 1927, the courthouse was drastically remodeled in the neoclassical style and served as a functioning courthouse until 1979. After sitting vacant for nearly 25 years, the bulding re-opened as Mckinney Performing Arts Center on March 31, 2006.
MPAC is in operation seven days a week and offers unrivaled ambiance for any event. Just 30 miles north of Dallas, MPAC is located in the heart of historic downtown McKinney.
