"Dry Heavy Cakes"

This bakery made a birthday cake for my 3 yr old grandaughter and it was very dry, crumbley, heavy and unflavored. The strawberry was just red velvet cake. I contacted her and all she said is sorry and good luck next time. We had to throw the whole cake away. I kept the top so she could see for herself but she was not interested!!!!
Vendor response: On Jan. 23, Lanae contacted me via email that she was unhappy with both tiers of her granddaughter's cake. She believed the strawberry cake tier to be red velvet and didn't care for the yellow tier. My understanding was that she had thrown both cakes away at that point. I replied that without a cake to examine, there was no way I could determine what was wrong with the cakes--particularly the accusation that I had provided the wrong flavor. On Jan. 24, she responded that she still had the tier that she believed to be red velvet, not strawberry. She also threatened to smear my name on the web at that time. I immediately emailed both she and her daughter, who actually had the cake, asking them to bring the remaining cake to me so that I could determine if there really was a problem. They chose not to respond to my offer. Most importantly, it was Lanae's daughter who ordered the cake from me, but she has not said a word to me about being unhappy with the cake. As of this writing on Jan. 25, the offer is still open to examine the cake that Lanae insists was the wrong flavor. I email have documentation to back up all of these statements.
