Roy is so talented and created exactly what I wanted! The results were beyond my expectation! Too many times the cake looks better than it tastes. Roy created a big cupcake cake - his attention to detail was amazing, right down to the handmade to proportion rainbow sprinkles. The choc lovers in my office were in heaven. Can't wait for the next opportunity to have Roy create something special.

I had no dought that one of Roy's masterpiece cakes would be the topic of my son's birthday party. I was in awe over a year ago when his wife brought a "Tiffany Box" cake into work for nurses week. The cake that day was a work of art and I felt such guilt when the first cut was made. Last month I ordered a fire truck cake and when I saw the life like cartoon icon I couldn't distinguish between the three dimensional cake and the actual cartoon figure. All our guests asked who made the cake and if they could have Roy's business card. The consensus was that it is quite impressive to have a cake look and taste that amazing.

Roy created a masterpiece for my son's 4th birthday...superheroes galore! The cake itself was delicious and the superhero emblems on each side were amazing. Even the big kids (aka moms and dads) were in awe!!! Best of all, Roy gave me very specific cutting instructions which made serving the cake go smoothly...otherwise there would have been a situation even too overwhelming for Superman to fix!! Thank you Roy for your craftsmanship, your flexibility and your fair pricing...we'll see you in April for the next cake!!

Roy did a great job from the start to the finish. He met with us and came up with some great ideas and then we added some more and in the end our graduation cake was perfect! My daughter loved her cake as did everyone else, they kept asking who made the cake! Also, the cake was moist and delicious !!

Roy had an unusual request from my daughter for her 16th birthday. She is a country girl who loves to fish and hunt. She also likes to wear camo (well not all the time). She wanted a cake that represented all those things. I was not thrilled about it, but I must say when I saw the cake Roy had gone over and beyond her request. What an awesome and delicious cake!!!

Roy made the most scrumptious wedding cake for our April 2012 wedding. The cake was three layers with different flavors. Two months later people are still talking about how wonderful the cake tasted. Our wedding was nature themed. Roy decorated the cake with icing branches and leaves. We had two little birds as the cake topper. My description really doesn't accurately describe how beautiful the cake was. Roy was great in the brainstorming/design phase of the cake preparation. He kept in touch with me wonderfully. He also sent me electronic mock up images of his different designs. That part really helped me visualize what the finish cake would look like. It was an all around wonderful experience with Layers Unique Cake Design. Some people worry about their wedding cake on their wedding day. Not me, I felt completely confident.

I have worked with Roy on several occasions and I have to say it certainly was a pleasure! He is personable and always wants to make sure his client is getting the best! Roy made the Angry Bird cakes for my Granson's 3rd birthday and Ethan was so thrilled and excited. The artisanship was off the chart. Not only were they perfect Roy also makes sure you receive a photo of what your cake is going to look like and that your are able to transport your cakes with ease. Now to talk about the cake itself, they were delicious! You can have beautiful cakes on the outside and delicious on the inside when you order your cakes from Roy. Well worth the money I will always go to him for all my cakes. Thanks Roy of a job well done and your compassion in making each cake special.

Don't get me wrong. Love the mother-law but she is PICKY. Layer's Unique cake design incorporated her favorite flower onto a small cake (about 10 people). It was not only beautiful but the flavor was incredible. The butter cream frosting is the best I've ever tasted. Not only was my mother-in-law impressed, she talked about it for weeks. can't wait to order again.

Roy created a beautifully delicious birthday cake for my son's first birthday. He quickly created a design (and sent me a proof) and was easy to work with!! The cake was a hit at the party and was delicious (which is tough to do with fondant, in my opinion). Thank you Roy for a fantastic first impression and we'll be back for many more birthdays!!!

Roy designed a fabulous 16th birthday cake for Lauren. He asked us what she liked and designed the perfect cake, everything she liked. Not only the design was perfect it was probably the most awesome tasting cake i have ever eaten which is a big factor! Thanks Roy for a job well done!

Roy made the cake for my baby shower to welcome my sweet little baby boy, Jackson. My cake was a total surprise until the shower and needless to say, I cried when I saw it (with some extra added help from hormones.) His creative and whimsical design of a baby's butt looking as if he had dived right into the cake left people saying, " awwww!" The details were incredible from the baby's little toes to the ruffled edge around the diaper. My favorite part was the orange fondant blanket that was draped over the baby's butt that was modeled after the blanket my Grandmother made for me. The two-toned chocolate cake was so moist and delicious that the grandparents are still trying to get more cake out of him. He truly has perfected the buttercream frosting too. It's texture is whipped and airy and just melt in your mouth fantastic. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Roy made the most beautiful and elegant wedding cake for my sister.He delivered it right to my door,packed and ready for a 3 hour transport to Md. The cake was so delicious that the caterer asked how SHE could contact Roy to find out how he did that cake!It was Red Velvet with Butter cream icing,covered with fondant,with roses that looked REAL.People took pictures of the cake so that they could show it to others after the wedding.It was magnificent!!! And working with Roy was a pleasure from beginning to end.He is reasonable in his prices(better than anyone else in this area),creative in his designs,and made the day for everyone at the wedding with the sheer beauty of his creation. Thank You Roy!

For a joint graduation party Roy made two of the most beautiful cakes..one for each graduate of their school colors, and also included personal touches relating to each graduate, then joined the two cakes. Not only was it beautiful and very delicious...the cake quickly became the focus of the party because it was so outstanding. Roy, you really are a "wonder" with how creative you are. Layers made a garden-themed cake for my daughter's second birthday. It was not only beautiful, but the cake was delicious! By far, the best-tasting fondant cake I've ever tasted. Roy took my rough cake concept to the next level by designing a cake around my general party theme. It was a fun and enjoyable process-6 months later, the guests are still talking about it!

Roy was great to work with and emailed me pictures of the design we discussed. The taste of his cakes are delicious and moist.
