Hyder photographed my daughter's wedding on May 15, 2010. When after months we did not have the proofs, we attempted to reach him. No return calls or emails. Have since found out he is in Huntsville, AL. Many, many families are looking for him. We gave him $4500 for his highest package and have nothing to show for it. My daughter is devasted as you can expect. We are filing a criminal complaint, however, that will be in FL. Very sad that a person could do this to families for a once in a lifetime event. I hope this is keeping him up at night, although I am sure with his character it is not.

I got married in January 2011 and have not received my proofs or prints. and now its May. Will not respond to phone calls or e-mails.

He did our wedding Daytona Beach Resort in the summer of 2009 and John came recommended by th e event planner. We paid him for 8 hours, or complete full coverage of the event. There are zero pictures of our "cocktail hour" which we paid for and since we were having a "grand entrance" into our reception did not attend. We have no idea what it looked like, who was enjoying themselves, etc. When we got the pictures back, we were not impressed. We could have matched these pictures ourselves and we have friends who took better photos with their digital cameras. Only 5 of 300 photo's were edited. The pictures had head space where it could have been zoomed in, and there were about 20 pictures of a little girl who wasn't even in the wedding, but just attended. My wife spent about 2 weeks using iPhoto to fix what she could of the photos. We called John to tell him we were not happy with the pictures, he just said he did not understand, not offering to take another try at it even. Overall for the $800 cash we gave him, we would have been better served buying a nice digital camera and having a friend snap some pictures.
