"I am embarassed to death by this experience"

We were not bargain hunting. We called Jewell Limousines because of their good reviews. They must have posted those fake reviews. The limo we were provided was a wrung out Chrysler 300 stretch several years beyond its useful life. The AC took more than an hour to cool the passenger area. Generally it was not maintained. All the fixtures we touched fell off, knobs, vents, buttons and switches. The main control display LEDs didn't work so we had to fiddle around with everything just to turn the radio volume down. It was a musty smelling vehicle and the windows were not tinted dark enough to keep the setting sun from cooking us. I always liked the look of the 300 series limos but the nice exterior did not make-up for the 3rd world build-quality of the interior. The driver was a Steve Zahn clone, complete with lack of intelligence and confused expression. Even though we emailed our itinerary four days in advance, the driver (definitely NOT a chauffer) needed directions from us. Then he took a route so far out of the way we almost missed our dinner reservation. Plus we were so hot at that point, with that broken air conditioner, that we just wanted OUT of that jalopy. One of my guests decided the ride was so uncomfortable she opted to take a cab home. I was totally embarrassed and ashamed of this vehicle. The occasion was my mother-in-law's 80th birthday and I wanted the event to be memorable in a good way, but instead she refers to it as her "birthday bake". My wife was in tears after the event. We had spent nearly $400 to do something special for her mother as our gift, but now it became a horror story that will be retold for years. I have already heard the other family members say that it was the worst gift idea ever. Be forewarned, Jewell Limousine has no sense of shame and has made no attempt to even apologize. The only thing we can do is warn others. Jewell Limousine is after your money and once they have their payment they do not deliver what they promise. Thanks Jewell, my mother-in-law thinks I hired some discount coupon limo service and now I'm the joke of the whole family. Could it be any worse? Maybe if the driver kicked my mother-in-law in the butt as she left, that would be worse... not much, but it would be worse.
This is the subjective opinion of an independent reviewer and not of Decidio, Inc.
