I went to Guida jewelers to have my engagement ring setting reworked because the prongs holding the diamond were loose. When I received the ring back I just knew that he had switched out my diamond for a lesser one. I should have been wary when he asked to look at my diamond under a jeweler's loop, asked me if it was certified, and then told me he would need a few days before he could do the work. When I returned a few days later to have the work done he told me I could not come back to the work area to watch him work on the ring. I am certain he used the time to get another stone and then switched them while I waited in front.
