we loved having amanda officiate and felt so lucky to have found her. after talking with her about our interest in a non traditional ceremony, amanda gave us several examples to pull from and was open and encouraging about performing our vows just how we had written them. she also has a warm and calming presence, which was instrumental in creating the intimate feeling i'll always remember in the midst of all the unordinary directed attention that comes with having a wedding! thank you amanda!

Amanda was a Godsend for me and my Bride. We are from Michigan and we wanted to marry outdoors in Nashville TN on May 1st 2010. We arrived in Nashville on Friday, April 30th with a forecast of strong storms for our Saturday event (remember the floods?). I was very concerned that the wedding was going to be a thunderstorm nightmare. I called Amanda Friday afternoon and asked if it would be possible to move the date up to the very same afternoon. Amanda came immediately and performed our ceremony on the Shelby street walking bridge over the Cumberland River in beautiful downtown Nashville. It was a gorgeous evening and the wedding was perfect. A memory that we will cherish forever. Thanks Amanda, you are amazing!!!!!

My husband had been asking me to marry him for a year and for a year I had continuously refused, not because I did not want to commit to him, but because I did not believe that marriage by today's standards was sincere. I saw marriage as a show you put on for everyone you know and the vows as something someone else came up with forever ago. My opinion changed when I attended my uncle's wedding, officiated by Amanda Dobra, the feeling in the room was honest and personal. My husband and I were married less than a month later with Amanda as our officiant. I felt instantly comfortable with Amanda and knew that there would be no judgement or criticism about any of the non-conventional beliefs my husband and i share. In addition to suggestions with vows and support with any concerns I had Amanda was also very helpful with all of the confusing legal forms and processes involved in marriage that we were completely in the dark about. I felt as if I had found a very knowledgeable and supportive friend, I will always be grateful and I would recommend her to any bride or groom!

I cannot recommend Amanda Dobra at Gold Dolphin highly enough. She was simply wonderful. She worked with us to create a ceremony that was authentic and meaningful. Her attention to detail and the time she took to get to know me and my husband made those moments at the altar tender, honest, and warm. Many of my guests commented to me that evening and in the following days that they loved the ceremony and were surprised to learn that Amanda hadn't known us for many years. They spoke about how kind and genuine she was and more than one guest said it was the best marriage ceremony they had ever heard. Amanda is simply terrific.

We got engaged in March and wanted to get married this summer. So, things had to be planned fast. We didn't know who we'd get to "marry us" and put it off longer than we should have, but it all worked out perfectly. We both had this "gut feeling" that Amanda was the right choice. We contacted her and met (which isn't required) her once before the ceremony. She was really nice and accomodating. The ceremony options she had were really good and she had no problem with us taking the ceremonies and combining aspects of them, which we did with her help. We received several compliments on the wording of the ceremony. We definitely would recommend her to anyone!

Amanda provided a very intimate service for me and my husband to renew our wedding vows. The ceremony was only for the two of us, no friends or family were invited, so right off the bat we were nervous...but Amanda made us feel very relaxed and truly focused on our love for one another. It was a very moving ceremony and it felt more meaningful and romantic than when we first exchanged vows. We would recommend Amanda to anyone!! Ken and Shannon

My husband-to-be and I looked at several officiant options before selecting Amanda, and we are so glad we picked her.
