I was married on November 5, 2010 at the bayside banquet hall. I was sick and so was the groom with bad head colds. I figured with how many times i had spoke with dick and dawn peterson that they knew how to do the pictures.. I had looked on the web site many times to review other wedding photos that they had taken. I did notice that the skinny brides had nicer and alot more photos! I wish I had gone with my instinct after that. Needless to say i was so upset when i saw my photos. First I had alot of out of town guest and no pictures of any of them. the only pictures of my guest where in the first 4 tables. I had 120+ guests. with only 8 at a table. And alot of my pictures were Horrible!!! not even close to professional... Water spots, and fuzzy pictures. Then when i went to pick them up they gave me a envolope with pictures, and a cheap walmart looking photo album. I payed them 1,400 dollars. for 5 hours and all I got was a cheap photo album and not even half my guests photo. I'm writing this so other brides think twice before they book with this photographer and his wife. They may seem nice but their pictures are Horrible. they are not worth the money! and you can not re-take photos from your wedding later on, I will never have photo's of family and friends from my wedding. My special day is just memories.

As all brides know, finding the right photographer is one of the most important and daunting tasks while planning a wedding (especially, a destination wedding). I live in Kansas City and had a destination wedding on Anna Maria Island in August. I was able to attend the wedding festival there in February and met hundreds of vendors. It was a lot to take in and hard to decide who to choose. Luckily, later that day I went to Dick Peterson’s stand and as soon as we started talking I knew he was going to be our photographer. He was very friendly, with great pricing, and had an amazing collage of pictures on display. During the planning process, Dick was beyond helpful. He suggested vendors, responded quickly to my emails, and even calmed me when I feared (for no reason at all) I was going to have a hurricane on my wedding day. :) He made the whole process very easy and stress free for us. When we arrived in Florida we had an engagement session a few days before our wedding. My husband and I were a little nervous since we've never taken professional pictures together but, Dick and Dawn did a great job providing us direction and making us feel very comfortable. The pictures turned out amazing! The day of the wedding was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for better pictures and a better experience. They had many great ideas and captured a wide variety of pictures. There were honestly so many great pictures taken I can’t even pick a favorite. He also captured many great candid pictures of our family and friends. They felt comfortable around him and thought he did an amazing job too. Dick really seemed to love what he was doing which made it easy and fun for us. We truly enjoyed our experience with them and have amazing pictures to last us a lifetime. If you are looking for a photographer in the Sarasota area I strongly recommend Dick Peterson Photography. You won’t be disappointed! They are the best! Thanks again for everything!
