"They lost a customer"

Stopped in about 40 minutes before they closed. No customers were in the store. Two attendants were sitting behind the counter. I was alone (no party of bridesmaids) and just wanted to try on a few dresses. They said "Sorry we take our last appointments at 6:30"... now... I guess that is entirely up to the owner to pay two employees for 40 minutes of no sales, no potential sales,etc. but if i were running it, that would be unacceptable to turn away a customer. There are plenty of other nice places to look.
