Even though I'd only been engaged for a few months, and I wasn't too serious about planning the wedding (since it was a little over a year away), I took the opportunity to visit Blush during a weekend I was visiting my parents in Hampton Roads. Our full intention was to try on dresses to start getting an idea of what shapes and fabrics we liked, so you can imagine my surprise when I found "the one"! Holly, the owner, was very professional and coureous. She schedules one hour appointments, one bride for each hour, so you're the only one there during your appointment; this fact alone made me feel much more comfortable during the appointment. Holly wasn't pushy during the appointment, and I never felt pressured into buying anything. She also lets you and your friends/family go through the racks and choose the dresses you want to try on yourself. She helps you into the dresses, but only comes into the dressing room when you're ready, and has the dress bewtween you and her, so she never technically sees you without your clothes on; I only mention this because I know some girls are uncomfortable at the thought of a consultant insiting on being in the dressing room with them at all times. I would definitely reccommend paying a visit to Blush if you're looking for a comfortable/low key environment, and a large selection of dresses for amazing prices.
