"Poor Customer Service"
Raleigh, NC
May 8, 2013
To start, I would like to make this disclosure statement....I have no ill feelings toward this vendor, it has been many months since my wedding. I am just stating facts in hope that this may aid a bride & groom in choosing a Superb coordinator. Throughout the review, I will refer to the vendor as the wedding coordinator for which she was for my wedding. Up until the week of my wedding, this vendor was very prompt, pleasant, professional & corresponded swiftly with emails. I really trusted this vendor for she was very reliable. I had a large wedding party and a total of 200 guests. This business relationship started nearly 1 year prior to my wedding date and again, I must say there were no prior dealings or interactions experienced with her to make me think otherwise about her capability to coordinate a large wedding. I have to honestly admit that this vendor's performance was poor during the wedding rehearsal and day of the wedding. When I look back, I feel that I should have inquired more about her prior functions & events. She was unprofessional with my wedding party at the rehearsal & was witnessed displaying facial expressions of disgust & disdain by myself as well as my family members. This did not go well with my family & wedding party and this made for a poor first impression. The vendor failed to make her presence known to the standard for which I expected during the rehearsal in which many people disregarded her leadership. After the rehearsal, when I approached her about assistance with certain details, she bluntly stated " that's not in my job title." This vendor was extremely short with me & rude which indicated one factor....This wedding coordinator provided poor customer service and was highly unprofessional in heightened situations in a matter in which I had never witness in our 1 year of working together to plan my wedding. Unfortunately, this fact later came to be more true on the actual wedding day. I was seriously shocked and tried not to panic thinking about how the actually wedding would turn out under such guidance. . Many of my guests complained about her attitude and her poor customer service to me. There are several things that went wrong as a fault of the vendor....to begin....... 1. When my wedding started late....according to my wedding party this coordinator started to panic and lose composure. 2. The vendor did not ensure that the ring bearer had his pillow during the ceremony. 3. During the cocktail hour, the vendor did not communicate with my hostess as to when to let my guests into the ballroom. Guests were waiting an additional 40 minutes to be seated. 4. During the reception, she did not announce the wedding party in a proper fashion. She called many of wedding party by the wrong name, although she was reading directly from a sheet. ** The vendor later blamed this on my having too large of a wedding party 5. The vendor also failed to ensure that the wedding party received their meals, instead she feed the DJ before making sure my friends and family were taken care of. 6. I paid this vendor to provide a candy bar for 200 guests as a wedding favor to my guests, she had very little candy available and several of my guests did not receive candy. 7. She did not announce the cutting of the cake and many of our guests missed that portion of the wedding. 8. To make matters worse, she was impolite to my family and friends and this was mentioned to me repeatedly after the wedding. This was very stressful to hear. During the post wedding meeting between myself, husband ,and the vendor, all of these factors were discussed. Overall, the wedding was nice and this was mostly thanks to my family & friends who were there for me through and through. Most of the guests did not notice all of the details discussed above and I am very thankful for that, however some of these events left a poor impression with me and my family who unfortunately witnessed these dilemmas. Had this vendor been pleasant to my family, wedding party, husband, and I, most of these factors would have been overlooked. Attitude is everything. In conclusion, I would not recommend this vendor. Thank you.
