"rusty broken chairs and beat up tables"

I rented 35 chairs, and 4 eight foot tables. I talked to the owners niece Maya. I explained this order was going to be in my home because I hired a magican and the party is in Sept. which the weather is unstable. She informed me that the stuff was cleaned and I would have no problems. The day of delivery the chairs looked like they had been on the junk, they were rusted and most didn't have knobs on the bottom so they would put a hole in my carpet and also there was grass stuck inside the legs. The delivery guys were great...they explained to me that the chairs are never used inside and they all look like this. They were honest and pleasent to deal with. However the tables were sturdy but filthy and had foot prints on the the top of them. Bottom line the rust on the chairs is dangerous because you could cut yourself and need a tetnaus shot after. The tables are ok but noway worth the money. I ened up getting my money back and went to my uncles church for the tables and chairs. If you call there ask for a manger to explain the product.... I did suggest to the owner they maybe should have indoor products and outdoor products.

Vendor response: We have provided service since 1992 and we have an excellent reputation for our clean and professional service. As I stated to Krista on the phone, our workers took chairs and tables from a pile which was in a pile for repairs. It was a busy weekend and our workers accidentally grabbed the chairs and tables from that pile. Her party was on Saturday and we were delivering the day before on Friday, which we normally do. I told her that we would simply go and grab the correct chairs since it was only about 15 minutes away and her party was the next day. She refused, so I gave her money back. It was an honest mistake and I wouldnt be around for almost 20 years if I did this to customers.
