"Horrendous service and very late"

This service was late on both sides of a roundtrip Saturday night group outing. The driver was inattentive and had no idea where he was going. He spent the entire hour drive in both directions on the phone or texting while on the highway. On the late second pickup, the driver tried to blame us for a time miscommunication, while the expected pickup time was clearly stated in the email request/confirmation of service. Truly a horrible limo service.

I made a limo reservation a month in advance of the date I needed the limo only to have the dispatcher call 5 hours prior to the time to be picked up and tell me that the driver would be 15 minutes late (because of traffic or a flat tire???)--of course neither of which had occurred yet. When I explained that we needed to be at an event on time and didn't have 15 minutes to spare he really didn't care. Now we had 14 people left high and dry without a ride to this event. Then he proceeded to tell me he would refund my deposit--and in the next breathe told me I would have to wait and email the "billing department" on Monday for a refund. He had the capability to refund my deposit but refused. I'm pretty sure this operation is one guy sitting in his apartment dispatching a couple of limos. During our conversation in trying to resolve this he also told me to put someone on the phone "who could understand"--insinuating that I was a stupid woman. I'm pretty sure he thought all women were beneath him. All in all this was the worst limo company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. ps- I am still trying to get my deposit refunded and was forced to file a dispute of the charge with my credit card.

DO NOT BOOK A TAXI WITH THIS COMPANY. This ranks as about the worst experience I've ever had as a consumer. First of all, I had problems getting a refund for a reservation that I canceled. I tried for a week to call the supervisor without ever being able to talk to him & ultimately I was told that the company had no record of the charge, despite the fact that I received a Google checkout receipt AND it showed up on my credit card statement. I finally got the charge reversed by calling my credit card company. Things only got worse from there. I reserved a private sedan with a rear-facing car seat because I was traveling with my 6 month-old daughter. I was told it would be an addl. $15 each way. Although this made the trip (airport-hotel round trip) very expensive, I booked the reservation anyway because I thought it would be easier than taking the L with a baby, suitcase, & stroller. When I met the driver at the airport, I saw that he did not have a car seat. He felt very bad but said he was new at the company & the dispatcher didn't tell him the night before that he would need one. He admitted that his Blackberry message included my request for a car seat, but said he never saw it because he hadn't scrolled down to read the whole message! He could not give me a refund himself, so I reluctantly accepted his offer to drive us to the hotel on city streets, which I thought would be safer than the freeway. The return trip was just as bad. I was outside the hotel by 7:15am waiting for my 7:30 pickup for a 10am flight out of Midway. 7:30 came. No sedan. 7:35. No sedan. 7:40. No sedan. I repeatedly tried calling the Americans Limo phone # and only got voicemail. The driver who picked me up earlier had told me they had no dispatchers at 7:30am on Saturday. So I had no way of knowing if the driver was coming or not. I did not want to endanger my daughter by taking another taxi without a car seat, so I decided to take the L. We left between 7:40 and 7:45 to give ourselves enough time to get to the station, wait for the train, go through security, etc. When I called the company later, the dispatcher angrily told me that it was my fault for leaving & that I would therefore not be given a refund. He said the driver came at 7:35 and I wasn't there, that he got stuck in traffic because of an accident, that he called the hotel asking for me. When I said he could have called my cell phone (the # is listed on my reservation), he said the driver isn't allowed to call cell phones. Thankfully before leaving the hotel, I had told the doorman about my situation & given him my name. When I called him to verify the dispatcher's story, he told me the driver showed up at 7:50, NOT 7:35, and that the driver said he was late because he had to drive to the company's office to pick up the car seat!! The doorman was as outraged as I was by the poor service. I have absolutely no confidence that I'll receive a refund, since the person in charge of billing is impossible to reach. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contact my credit card company.

I traveled with this service and they were 1 hour late and the the dispatch was in india. The dispatcher could not clearly speak english. not worth a few dollers you would save.
