When you look at a picture taken by Rick or Steph from Ardent Photography, you don’t just see a bride, a happy couple, or a family—you see a story. That’s what drew me and my new husband, Gus, to have Ardent Photography tell OUR story when we were married on 10/10/10. Because Rick & Steph have such a passion for what they do, they capture so much more than faces, places and details… they capture emotion. They understand that weddings, family photos and portraits aren’t just about holding the camera just right, nailing the perfect lighting and being in the right place at the right time; they’re utterly in tune with the emotional undercurrent of every event, and their photos show it. I love that every single shot captures a feeling and makes you feel like you’re SEEING the moment, rather than just a picture of it. Putting the responsibility of telling the visual story for one of the biggest days of your life into someone else’s hands is scary—but when my husband and I met Rick and Steph, our worries vanished.
