"AWFUL! STAY AWAY! "

This is the worst company I have ever encountered. They violated their contract with us several times and refused to admit it, then tried to blame it on me. There was no way that we should have had to pay for their horrible product and yet they only refunded us $350 out of over a thousand. The videographer was terrible - the video was blurry, out of focus, shaky and it looked like he alternated between sticking a video on a tripod and using a cheap handheld. His angles were terrible - he only shot the court walking down the aisle from behind and completely missed the groom! The sound was awful - there was a swishing noise throughout the video and you could barely hear what was being said. They promised to use a microphone and didn't, promised to go early and ensure good positioning and didn't. The video was 2 weeks late when we did finally get it, and was of such terrible quality that we would have been better off using a camera phone video. We were also extremely disappointed in our DJ. Direct Entertainment has multiple DJs and we did not know who our DJ would be until he showed up at our reception. He did not interact with the guests as we requested, and was actually very shy, an unusual quality in a DJ. When he did make announcements he was too quiet and nobody could hear him. It was only salvageable because on the website you can compile your own play list, so the songs were good and people were dancing, but only because we picked the music. Instead of mixing up the music and reading the mood, however, he simply went down and played the songs in alphabetical order, and even then, he did not have many of the songs that the website said they had. They also promised lights and there were none. My dad actually had to set up his own ipod at one point. I cannot emphasize enough what a terrible company this is. They were late in responding to my complaints and when they finally did they refused to take responsibility for their failures. I am actually going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
