I booked Travis Grant of 200 Dollar DJ Service for my wedding reception. After paying my deposit, I set up a meeting with Travis to discuss my needs for my event. Not only did he no-show to our appointment, but would not return my deposit. After many emails, he agreed to return my deposit.....I have yet to see it and it's been two months. Save your money and the trouble of trying to get your deposit back.

We hired Travis based on the reviews I read and I liked how he sounded over the phone~ very polite and professional. He told me to send a list of all the songs i wanted... i did.. and the dj didn't play 90% of them! Travis found a dj off craigslist to do my wedding (which I was NOT informed of until after and I complained after the wedding)He was suppose to come to the rehearsal, which he did not, to see the flow and we could make sure everything ran smoothly. The guy chose to play Carrie Underwood song "this is just a dream" as the 2nd song of the evening which is a funeral song!!!!! played titanic song as we walked out as husband and wife which is a song about death!!!! what the heck!!??! Total joke. asked for a certain song to be played during the introduction and the dj said "I do my own thing for that" and refused to play our song. didn't play the right song for the unity candle, cake cutting, last dance, or anything! had certain songs we request be played and he didn't do any of that either. I called and talked to Travis and he apologized and gave me the run around & said I'd have to go thru that dj he hired to get any money back. that dj said Travis got paid, Travis said he didnt. in the end Travis said he was gonna send me $50 for all the trouble and he's truly sorry and that was 5 months ago and I STILL have yet to see that money. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME, OR BREATH ON THIS COMPANY!

First of Sara and Joe were wonderful! When I meet with a couple I explain that, It's myself and 2 other dj's. On this day we had 2 receptions booked. We had an older couple about 60 something and Joe & Sara 30 something. I took the older couple because I was more familar with the older stuff. DJ Jon took Sara's & Joe's. All of us has the same equipment and we all do everything the same way. We state in the contract that, we may switch dj's to accommodate a situation. DJ Jon had all the paperwork and the agenda. They performed their job that evening. And the $48 tip they gave DJ Jon made me wonder why they would post sub par review. As usual anyone is welcome to come out to any of our events and review our work before you book us. Thanks Travis $200 DJ Service

We hired Travis to do our wedding and were very excited based on what we had seen when we went out to see him work. In the contract it says if he is not able to do the wedding he will make sure someone is there to do it. Well that is what happened at our reception, except Travis never called to let us know. We were just greeted by a stranger when we arrived at our venue. I was confused, but not upset until the night proceeded. The djs he sent mispronounced our bridal parties names even though we went over them with them, didn't have our schedule of events or must play songs, cut the dollar dance song off even though there were people still waiting to dance, began our bridal party dance right after announcing it giving no time for the members to get to the dance floor, and we had many guest report they weren't really sure what was going on. If it wouldn't have been for our best man and matron of honor doing the dj's job, my husband and I would have had a misrible time trying to keep them on track. It seemed like it was the first wedding they had ever done. I contacted Travis after the wedding and gave him a week to respond to my complaints and I have still not heard from him. It seems like Travis is a good dj, but his professionalism is just not there. He got my $50 and doesn't care if the job was done right. If he was going to send someone else he should have made sure he had all the information we gave him and should have let us know what was going on. We had actually already made the check out to him and had to bum money off of reletives just in order to pay the djs he sent because they couldn't accept the check made out to Travis. If you decide to hire him, you better be willing to take your chances. Good Luck!
