Tyrone Heade is the Cathedral Bagpiper in Residence for St. James Cathedral, and St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, both in Seattle. Performing, instructing and composing full-time since 1994, Tyrone is an award-winning soloist in the Pacific Northwest. As Pipe Major, Tyrone leads Seattle's Elliott Bay Pipe Band, and on the Scottish Small (Chamber) Pipes he leads the ensemble Iona Abbey, featuring cello, fiddle, guitar and bodhran.
Offering tailored performances for indoor or outdor events, Tyrone has been a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science since 1999.
