The Southern Ground Band was founded by Steve Davenport and Steve (Snappy) Deyoung in 2001. We primarily play in the Spotsylvania County area, but have had gigs from Richmond VA to the D.C. Metro area.



Southern Ground is predominately a "Cover" band playing songs ranging in genre from the 50's to today’s Alternative bands. However you will find we are most comfortable and have a larger selection of Classic Rock, Southern Rock and Country.
