"Belazio Contracts & Rules specified from initial consultations."

FYI....................Jason has neglected to mention that they ( the Bride & Groom ) told me they would NOT pay for a full reception with food & beverages, instead they paid a very minimal fee for a meet and greet 2 hr reception for 50 guests at Belazio in the main 4000' galleria. No food, just a regular sheet cake , NO champagne or beverages, ---cider and ice water only. --- No entertainment, no dancing, no DJ. I suggested a fruit basket cake for a bit more elegance from an every day sheet cake. Looking at the original written contract & rules , they got exactly what they ordered and paid for.... Needless to say their guests were very upset, when showing up at dinner hour to find NO food or beverages , other than cake , cider & water. They told me they could not afford flowers, decorations or centerpieces so I let them use some grape/iron centerpieces I had made for Belazio events. It is clearly spelled out in the rules and regulations --- what decor and florals can be brought into Belazio. ..........Anyone who knows us, knows that we DO NOT dress down to events at our place. I'm sorry Jason I don't wear JEANS !!! So where you came up with that...... other than for the drama queen effect..... We dress appropriately for the occasions and events at Belazio.................. As far as extra staff, for only 40- 50 guests who are only having cake and cider served, extra help was not needed. It was served by my husband and myself to each of the 40 guests there and we had it completely under control as we always did. As far as the cake table & cake arch, originally they were on carpet and later moved to tile floor with a picture perfect view in the background of one of our stunning mural artpieces. However, the happy couple decided they didn't like it , so we changed it back to the original location they had seen 4 months previously. Original cake was a $50 NON wedding cake, however 2 weeks prior to reception, they decided they wanted a 2 -3 tier wedding cake. I agreed to pay the additional cost for a wedding cake because they were wining so much and I wanted their special day to be just that --- Special---. I gave them a $150. budget to go pick out a different cake. Another Bride suggested the online bakery they mention, however after hearing negative response I gave them one of our preferred wedding cake bakers to go to. I made them pay the $30. delivery fee, because they went over the $150. budget I gave them - on the cake ---- They had the option to not pay the additional $30 by picking up their own cake . We do not transport wedding cakes -- never have -------- but they chose not to go pick up their cake so they were charged the delivery fee. This is a perfect example of the bride and groom paying the lowest price possible , and then coming in and making demands for extended hours, dj/sound system service, a 3 tier wedding cake, beverages , etc. and wanting it all for free ! I did provide ice tea & coffee for guests , just water as the beverage is inappropriate at a reception -- no matter what so called budget you are on! Looking over the original written contract, rules & regulations once again , they not only got exactly what they specified and paid for they also got all the additonal freebies I did for them to try to make the minimal bland reception as nice as could be with their very limited budget. A sound system was provided in the main galleria, the chapel sound system had been taken out per the property owners instructions because of next door tenant complaints. So each event required a professional DJ service to provide system, entertainment, music, etc. in the chapel room. This was clearly explained. Again they didn't want to pay for a DJ service. However they were not having entertainment, or dancing, nor did they need the additional 2000 ' room .... so what was all the fuss about? With the 40 or so guests, the 4000' main galleria room was plenty of room, they did not need the entire facilty of 6000'. I made sure the reception was as special as it could be, it was the Bride and Grooms decision to not have food , refreshments, , entertainment, or beverages other than water for their guests! Jason - All the time you spent on this article with all the false info about my place, is time and energy you should have spent on your own reception guests -- They would have appreciated it. I would have appreciated a thank you for all my efforts and my stunning facility--- making your reception a very special one. Instead you want to give it a negative tone and take it out on me that your guests were un happy with your choices and budget limitations. Fortunately , I have dozens of happy and loving brides and grooms who appreciated all my efforts on making their wedding receptions so spectacular, & all the time and money that made Belazio so stunning !!!!! Those I reflect on with much joy. Not your false accusations. Just yesterday I got a call from one of our 1st wedding receptions at Belazio , thanking me again for such a magical event in their lives and inviting us to their 2nd wedding anniversary party. We get many of those and treasure each one!

Ila, the owner, is totally rude and demeaning! Where do I start? When we got there for the rehearsal we found that she had removed the columns along the wall at the front of the ceremony room...meaning that just to the left of where the bride is standing there were bare nails, stipped paint, and dried glue left on the wall...nice scenery for a wedding! Fortunately with quite a bit of prodding, she did put them back up, but a little further back from the two columns was the same scene. She went back on her word about things that were supposed to be provided (sodas and a sound system in the ceremony room). Additionally, she booked the caterer for a wedding of 160 people and the caterers were totally stunned to find out that there were more than 100 people there. So she charged us for 160 people for the catering and only booked it for 100...WOW! At the Belazio the dancing takes place in the same room as the ceremony, so they stacked and moved the chairs out of the way so that we could dance. We had the place booked until 11:00pm, so we were annoyed to see that they started putting the chairs back out on the dance floor at 9:30pm and Ila told us that we could just dance around them. She also claimed that we demanded that the bar only be opened for dinner, not before or after...this was not the case. We bought all of the alcohol to stock the bar, which there was plenty, and they refused to serve it! Around 9:30pm they started cleaning up the tables; throwing away people's half eaten cake that they were planning on coming back for and dumping out full glasses of beverages which they could not go refill at the bar. It was clear that they were trying to push us out at 9:30pm even though we weren't supposed to be out until 11:00. Isn't the clean-up time supposed to come out of their time, not ours? I'm quite sure they were doing this because they had a wedding the next day. Also, the Belazio managed to break and throw away one of our Waterford Crystal champagne flutes that had been etched as a present to us. Obviously we noticed it was missing when there was only one sitting on the table! When we confronted Ila about it, she tried to make us believe that one of the guests took it home as a momento...this is outrageous! After dealing with Ila for the entire night, we were not going to take her crap anymore. She said that they would go through the trash the next day and see if they found it...yeah right. Being so fed up with her we actually looked through the trash ourselves, and guess what? We found the broked flute in the trash...and yes, it was worth it!
