I love Rock Creek Gardens! It is such a beautiful venue and the staff are amazing! I'm shocked at reading a few of the negative comments as I have had nothing but positive experiences at Rock Creek! If I were to have my wedding all over again, Rock Creek Gardens is the ONLY place I would consider having my wedding! Every time I drive in, I feel like I'm stepping into a magical wedding land! Seriously -- it's that pretty!

I am C.W. of Tacoma WA and recently posted on August 26 my experience as Maid of Honor at my sister's wedding this summer at Rock Creek Gardens. Some odd and angry woman named "Sarah of Puyallup" stated that my positive comment along with two others, "must have been written by the owner"--since it was posted on the same day. I am NOT the owner or related to the owner. I cannot help it if two other people with a positive experience felt inclined to post a comment the same day. I was a Maid of Honor in a wedding there. It was a beautiful, stunning and great experience. In fact, I have been to three weddings there over the past year. Rock Creek Gardens also graciously allowed my son's high school graduation pictures to be taken on their beautiful and breathtaking grounds last summer. By the way, SARAH of Puyallup, they DO have handicapped parking AND handicapped access bathrooms. In fact, they have added and built new features each time I have attended an event there. The staff is quite flexible on personalizing your wedding. At my sister's wedding this summer, they allowed the Groom to ride in on his motorbike on their nice green lawn to meet the Minister at the Wedding Pergola just before the bridal party walked the Processional. It was an exciting and personal touch. You can't do that at a church, theatre, or hotel wedding site! So, SARAH of Puyallup--next time you get an invite for an event at Rock Creek Gardens...feel free to stay home and find a happy place. If you can... Dr. C.

As a former Rock Creek Garden Bride (married this July 2009) I want to share with everyone that I could not have asked for a more amazingly beautiful wedding venue location nor a more accomodating owner and staff. I truly had a fairy tale wedding and my guests couldn't have been happier. I don't know HOW MANY guests gushed about how wonderful and beautiful the grounds were and how welcoming and professional the staff were. Gracie and the Rock Creek Staff welcomed my special requests for the ceremony in addition to the time frame that was requested up front. We had a lovely ceremony, delicious catering, our "love story" video projected in the white tent, beer & wine, dancing, and fireworks as we kissed during the ceremony. All of my guests, young and old told us over and over again how our wedding was the most amazing wedding they had ever attended. THANK YOU Rock Creek for making it happen. ***To those "haters" out there, you are the few consumers that can NEVER be pleased. I prefer to face life with the glass half full. If you look hard enough you can always find something to complain about. Live~Laugh~Love *From a SATISFIED BRIDE*

"Think twice before you think Rock Creek"

I hope you will notice as I did, that clearly all the POSITIVE reviews were written on the same day within seconds of each other, most likely by the owner gracie. I have attened two weddings at rock creek and sadly dissapoined by both. While the place is nice in looks, it lacks in all other aspects. I attened a wedding where there was not alchole at all, ans still it seemed to be an issue when I needed to walk to my car to get mt daughter a sweater. The owner Gracie as she stated followed me there and back as if I was going to do someting aweful with a two year in arm. She is CRAZY and should not be in business owner. Maybe if she is so concerend about people breaking her rules she should hire parking lot security, or chose to not host weddings. GET REAL lady. The second wedding I attened was even worse. It was withen two weeks of the first wedding, by the time I had eaten and wanted more food, it was alreday taken away. When I asked the catering company they said gracie forced them to remove the food. It had been out a mere 20min. Not only that but my husband is HANDICAP!! and there was NO BATHROOM for his wheelchair and when I asked about parking. YOU Gracie told me there was not any and to drop him and off and park, then come a get him. after the wedding and speaking with both brides who were not satisfied I would look at other locations. I would high reccomend the Liberty theater downtown puyallup, hansen place in sumner, or the vault in tacoma. Never agian should rock creek have a wedding.

My daughter was married at Rock Creek Gardens three weeks ago, and we had a great experience. The management team was exceptional in their service to accommodate us and help make our wedding event very memorable and special for our family and guests. I highly recommend this beautiful outdoor garden setting!

I was Maid of Honor at my sister's wedding at Rock Creek Gardens several weeks ago. It was a beautiful and romantic location with water features, green lawn and stone work. Loved it! Gracie and Emily were so organized, helpful and calming in helping us all in the "wedding production" that day. The Bride and Bridesmaids have such a beautiful preparation area upstairs, where you can look out and see the beautiful wedding venue and guests arriving. The White Wedding Reception Tent with its inside fabric drapings and lights was so stunningly romantic. Highly recommend it! Only someone who was "caught" with hard liquor on site would write such negative comments about the Wedding Venue or staff. We had beer and wine at the reception and had a fun celebration of my sister's marriage. Thanks Gracie and Emily!

We could not be happier with the venue and helpful staff at Rock Creek Gardens for our recent wedding there. For their first year of operation...Wow! Every detail has been thought through. Even the portable restrooms have mirrors and sinks...and are professionally cleaned after every event. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive to our every wish and need. We appreciated their sense of order and organization, AND their flexibility to cater to the specifics of our event. I would absolutely recommend using this venue...one of the best kept secrets in the entire area. The only thing I can say about the negative comments posted here... Some people are never happy with any level policy and guidelines, especially attendees that are unaware of the contracts signed by the wedding party. Most outdoor venues do not allow hard liquor and in this day and age, venue operators can be held liable for irresponsible behavior caused by drunk event attendees...thus the concern. Not being allowed to go back to your car for a forgotten item? Rediculous! In a group to huddle and down shots? Yeah...duh! And, yes, there is handicapped parking. I understand a handicapped accesible portable restroom has been recently added to the site. The only folks who will find this venue incompatible with their liking are those that are intent on ignoring agreed to guidelines, inconsiderate of posted private areas and, in general, impossible to please. Unfortunately, there are some in EVERY crowd.

I've now attended 2 weddings at this location and have thoroughly enjoyed both of them. The views are spectacular, ceremonies were exceptionally beautiful and everything from the host/owner to the staff were very polite and delightful. I can't imagine this being the same venue as these prior weddings; what HORRIBLE, unfounded comments! As for those seeking the ultimate experience in starting your new life together, i ABSOLUTELY recommend Rock Creek Gardens!

My brother got married at Rock Creek Gardens in July 2009. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were meticulously manicured. The water features are really gorgeous. Our family enjoyed a happy, joy-filled wedding day. The owners were gracious, caring people who helped make our day very special. I definitely recommend RCG to everyone.

I've attended 2 weddings this summer at Rock Creek Gardens. What a stunning location! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! The staff was so welcoming and helpful and worked so hard to make sure everyone had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone!

I arrived at the Rock Gardens for an event and was awed by the the beauty. I had no idea I was entering the bowels of Purgatory. The owners are the rudest, most insulting people I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. It was like being at a party.... in a prison camp! I'm not sure if it's an all family run compound or what, but these people (I referred to them as guards or nazis) surround your party and monitor every move you and your guests make talking to eachother on their walkie talkies and making notes on their clipboards! And don't be shocked if their slobbering disgusting dogs are wandering around your party begging for food. And if your party is scheduled to end at 10....You can bet it will end at 10! They will fold chairs and breakdown tables at 10:01 while your guests are still there! I felt like I was a trespasser not an invited guest! I understand that they are a very new venue, but if you are going to open up your property to a customer, the PAYING customer (and their INVITED guests) should feel welcomed, and should be treated graciously. The staff / guards should not be seen until the end of your function. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends, family, or even someone I disliked for that matter. Save yourself the embarrasment and the hassel. As a matter of fact, I would hold my function at a water sewege treatment facility before stepping on that property again!

The Venue was gorgeous. I absolutely loved it. The owner on the other hand was really rough around the edges. If you set a time to leave she will be there standing over your shoulders tapping her toe waiting for you to leave and will charge you if you are late. Also you are not permitted to go back to your car for alcohol inforcement reasons but a couple instances where people had forgot things in their car she would be in their faces questioning their every move. Lastly she yelled at the brides mom because she thought last call was 9pm when we had in writing that last call was 9:30pm. I would recommend this venue to anyone who coud convince the owner to not be there during the wedding or to lighten up a little, but if she has to be there I would not recommend this venue to anyone.
