After several months of research and on-site visits, we finally selected The Mansion at Maple Heights as the venue for our wedding – both ceremony and reception. What a fantastic choice! In all of Pittsburgh, there really is no better place for a wedding than this gorgeous mansion located in the middle of beautiful Shadyside. The Mansion is easily accessible, yet very private and tranquil as it is gated and a few short minutes away from any main street in this already quiet neighborhood. The Mansion is simply gorgeous. The magnificent stone façade, stained glass windows, elegant woodwork, and chandeliers provided an elegant background for our photographs. In addition to this, the rooms available for the wedding party to prepare in are extremely comfortable and spacious, which proved to be a major difference-maker for us. Finally, the personal attention to the event details and to the needs of our guests from the friendly staff ensured that the day went as smoothly as we envisioned. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. It was an intimate, warm, and unique event, and much of that can be attributed to The Mansion at Maple Heights. We highly recommend this venue to anyone after our enjoyable experience. Finally, all event details and guest needs were attended to perfection by the friendly staff headed by Chukky Okobi, the ever-present and always ready to help Wedding Planner Extraordinaire.

Thank you for the kind review from the Sept. 26th event. We are happy that you were completely satisfied with your stay here with us at The Mansion at Maple Heights. I am sorry Mike that your stay with us was less than amazing, and I hope that someday you would come back and let us re-shape your opinion about our facility. I also just want to comment on your "Terrible" review and add that there was much more to this story than indicated in his review. If anyone who is looking into planning a wedding with us or just staying with us at the Bed and Breakfast, as a General Manager here, I would invite you to tour the facility and meet with the staff to make your own judgment. We also have a long list of satisfied clients that we can put you in touch with, it always helps to talk with someone who has been through the entire process with us.

I also attended a Sept 26th wedding and had a wonderful time! The food was excellent and the host made everyone feel welcome, especially with the people who stayed over, of which I was one.The mansion is a beautiful setting for a wedding or anniversary event and the rooms upstairs are well appointed. All in all, I give this place a huge "thumbs up". Perhaps with the previous review, the problem was with the guests and their behavior...and not with the host or his accomodations! Thanks for a fantastic weekend!

I was a guest at a wedding at the Mansion at Maple Heights in September 2009. The food served was excellent. The owner of the Mansion did not make the guests feel welcome at all. I woke in the morning to a police car outside and the owner of the Mansion accusing guests of vandalizing his property. He was extremely unprofessional and I would not recommend his services at all.
