Le Bam Event Venue is an exceptional and magical facility in Midtown Atlanta with lots of off-site free parking. The facility is very eclectic and elegant and is perfect for upscale corporate events, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners or weddings. It has a bar, lounge, stage, garden and private patio. Event designer is on staff.

"HORRIBLE"

The event space is ok but the event management is just HORRIBLE and were rude to my guests on the wedding day.

"Le Bam Decor is nice but has poor management "

My husband and I chose this venue for our wedding. The venue was beautiful but we had issues with management, Marina Bissette. The first issue came when Marina was late for our first meeting. We stood outside for at least an hour. We tried calling her several times. When we finally spoke with her she said she had to go somewhere at the last minute and she was around the corner. It was approx. another 30 minutes before she arrived. Before the ceremony my coordinators were unable to locate her so that she could turn off the waterfall so that it would not interfere with hearing our voices on camera. Before the end of the reception Marina informed my coordinators that we had to finish soon. I informed my coordinators that that was incorrect and our agreement was that we had the venue until a later time. After the event I constantly tried to contact Marina regarding the clean up fee. When I had spoken with her previously she told me that if we cleaned then the cleaning fee would be refunded. I was finally able to reach her after 6 months after the wedding and she informed me that there was no refund for the cleaning fee. When we looked at the video footage we saw Marina and a young girl in the footage. I would love to use this unique venue again but with all the issues I don't think it's worth it.

Vendor response: This particular bride "assumed" a lot outside of her contract with the venue. She did not contract the venue for "food" and service and wanted save money by making her relatives clean. We do not allow this option any more specifically because of cases like this. She also "assumed" the owner will turn on and off her music as well as a waterfall in the main lounge which is unheard off. The venue does not provide DJ services unless we are contracted for them. The set up time is 2 hours before the event which is in the contract and some brides send the vendors or relatives earlier and try to get in on the premises and sneak in. This posting shows that Lynn did not realise the scope of services that she contracted for. Cleaning fee is a standard fee and is part of the contract as it covers cleaning of floors and bar. Again not sure why Lynn "decided" to get a refund.

"Partys over"

The experience with La Bam, the owner and the hired bartenders made the event I was at so horrible, I can't rate it, you don't have negative on the scale. At our walk through, we spent 20 minutes trying to get into the place, no one would answer the door or phone. Finally I called the other part of our party that was to meet us there, they had to tell the owner to let us in after we walked from door to door and called many times. When we arrived at the venue the day of the event, we were looked at as if we were purple. The kitchen was nasty with dirty dishes and glasses everywhere. We were then asked to move items that we were told were fine to be placed where we put them, and talk behind our backs began saying that the set up was ugly. During the course of the night the owner was so unhappy and snobby telling people to pick up their plates and cups. She demanded that the trash be removed by one of our attendees. We could not wait until the reception was over and we all could get out of there. The caterer was even worried about what was going to be said to her next about anything that her employees had or had not done. Not only that, but one of the bartenders got "toasted" from to much to drink during the reception. When the bride and groom left, and the rental of the venue wasn't over for 4 more hours, the owner and the bartenders would not serve any more drinks, even though the contract stated different and the drinks were provided by us. I rememeber hearing them telling people "the party is over" If you are looking to have any type of event here, please think twice.

Vendor response: Clients bring thier own alchohol and do believe in some cases like this that the venue will serve with no limit or stop in case somebody is heavily intoxicated. It is a mistake to think that bartenders will continue to serve publicly drunk guests. The bar closed 30 minutes before the end of the event and stops serving alchohol. We do get "excited" guests and relatives (in this case this posting is made by a relative) that continue to demand drinks and we explain all the time that it is a policy of the venue as well as in the best interest of the person who contracted the venue to have it under control. Some clients/relatives continue to violate policy and do not realise that they take FULL responsibility for thier guests. They continue demanding serving when some guests are not standing on thier feet. Our security will not allow situations like this and again all clients sign a contract with explanation of the policy which seems to be common sense.
