"Surprised to be dissapointed with our wedding"

The Food Guy came with such a great recommendation from both friends and family that we were monumentally surprised at some of the issues that we experienced with them, and the perceived total lack of desire to take care of them after they had occurred. Some examples of issues that we experienced: our initial selection of flatware, glasses, table settings, china, linens, table locations, time lines, etc were all lost and we had to go over it again. I should have moved on to another caterer after that, but again, they were recommended by trusted friends & family. Regardless of the fact that we paid almost $100.00 per person for the catering for the wedding, 1/3 of our guests didn't get appetizers, and 2/3 of our guests didn't get dessert. My wife's last name was spelled incorrectly on every menu at every table- that went over well. The overall experience I would compare to being pushed through a line at a fast food restaurant. They got us to sign & put a deposit down, got half of their money up front, cranked us through the event, and spit us out the other end dazed & confused. Why several issues that could have been prevented weren't even discussed on the front end is a mystery. The food really wasn't bad, but I know I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone.

We were very disappointed with "The Food Guy" as a whole. They adjusted their prices after we had signed and agreed on a quote and made multiple mistakes on the bill. Told us that we didn't provide and must have forgot items that we presented to them before the wedding and were generally rude to us at times. Choose someone else!

My fiance and I could not have been more pleased with The Food Guys service. They gave us personal service we never expected. They put all of our silly ideas into action. They were able to incoporate all of our favorite foods into our menu and hors d'ouvres. We loved our event planner and all the great ideas she brought to the table. On the day of the event they took care of every detail so that we could relax and enjoy our wedding. I would recommend them to anyone.

"Not What We Wanted For Our Wedding!"

My fiancé and I were very disappointed with the service we received from The Food Guy. We actually ended up going with another caterer and just ate the $200.00 deposit we had put down. We had some reservations when we first met for the tasting, but were eager to finalize our caterer. We should have followed our initial instinct. For our wedding, we are having several guests come in from out of town and therefore were unsure of the exact total. We were told by the representative from The Food Guy, that even if our number went down by 25 people our price would not change. Later we realized that this included them having to make less food and rent less from the rental company such as plates, etc. We also discovered that they did an up-charge of 30% on the rentals from a whole other company that we were able to go to directly. All of the above does not even include the several unprofessional phone calls we received from the representative in which she used incorrect names, mixed up appointments, and lied about phone messages. We took our complaint directly to the owner. He did not bother to call us back; instead he had the negligent employee call. I would like to warn any couple thinking about using this company. I wish we would have known.
