We love this place! Such a gorgeous setting and friendly staff and on top of that the food is delicious!!!! Hard to find that combo. The Hostess is a really sweet lady who is always so helpful and pleasant to deal with... we even witnessed her having to deal with some very very rude customers that she handled so professionally, and with a smile. If you know when you would like to go, call and make a reservation because they are becoming very well known and seem to get very busy between 11-1 (Lunch rush). But don't rush! This is a place to sit, relax and enjoy... not to rush. We finally made it for a dinner with some friends and had such a memorable time too. Food presentation was beautiful and the portions size were great for the price. We read some of the reviews on yelp and seems like people that have only bad experiences put reviews anymore. We want to make it known how good this place REALLY is. This is a great restaurant and I love to show off Loomis' little gem.

Had lunch here today. Food was delicious, service very good and the atmosphere was great! No waiting for a table, and we were served in a very timely manner. Will definitely return, and bring our group of eight for dinner.

I have had the pleasure of having breakfast, lunch and dinner at High Hand on five separate occasions. One of the best times was in the rain--it is great to sit inside the conservatory and watch the rain come down. I am extremely cold-blooded and I must say that I've never been cold there in spite of all the glass walls. In fact, I was so curious as to why I wasn't cold, I asked the waitperson how the conservatory was heated (pipes in the cement floor). My husband and I travel from Sacramento to enjoy the food as well as the nursery--I've never been disappointed. Recently, we met local Loomis friends there for dinner. We ordered different entrees and each person raved about the food. I hesitate to highly recommend this restaurant for fear that it will become so popular that I will have trouble getting a table.

The service was horrible; was considering holding my wedding there but have decided otherwise. Prior to being seated (It took 30 minutes to be seated) a man came in asking for a table "immediately", after we were finally seated for 40 minutes at which point we had no service other than the water girl once. We realized the "Immediately"-man was already pleasantly almost finished his lunch behind us. Perturbed, we left. The woman who sat us made eye contact upon our early departure as we had never been waited on. THANKS HIGHHAND! Your water was great & don't worry I'll spread the word. ~Customer no more

I have had the pleasure to have lunch at the cafe 4 times and each time the food was wonderful and the service was great! We are hosting a dinner tomorrow evening at the cafe which will be our first dinner experience.

New Years eve, 2008. Magic Show, 2 1/2 hours to get the entree, terrible service. The Magic Show was ok. Would not go back, and it is cold. Their claim of radiant floor heating is bogus, I wore my coat the whole time, my feet got cold.

I went for dinner and actually was very cold, I'm a guy and normally don't complain about the temperature. -I love the concept---but could not enjoy my dinner because I was freezing...The service was good---took my dinner home-but will try again.
