We ate outside, GREAT VIEW!! The food was good, and large portions, because we did not eat everything. The food is not to spicy but may just be our taste (we like our Mexican food spicy). The service was available; we had 3 servers assigned to our table, but 3 times we had to wave them down instead of them coming around to check on us, they were spending time talking instead of check on the tables.

Loving Mexican food, 4 of us (middle aged, well traveled adults) decided to tour National Harbor and eat lunch here. We'd made a reservation--a good thing as the place was busy. The views are great, and the tableside prepared quacamole was festive and delicious, though expensive at $12 to serve two people. Everything went rapidly downhill after that. We all love Mexican food, and one couple had just recently returned from southern California where delicious, inexpensive Mexican food was eaten most every day. The plates came approximately 45 plus minutes after ordering. In fact we saw many others sit down after we did and were finishing their meals when ours finally arrived. We'd inquired--no excuses or apologies. The presentation was just drab and without any imagination. All 4 of us had a major disappointment with our entree. Listed garnishes or accompaniments were missing (we asked for the menu to double check if we were guessing right--we were!) Portions were very small. An entree salad was about the size of a small side salad--for $13??) Huevos Rancheros were missing the asparagus--it came as two small eggs absolutely covered in a few cups of sauce and nothing else on the plate---about $14?!! Another brunch dish came in a skillet, dry, overcooked, and the plantains were missing. Just a small pile of WILTED mixed greens with no sauce--just dry and wilted. My chicken quesadilla was large, but very dry and the accompaniments of promised quacamole and pico de golla was about one tablespoon each. Clearly about enough for one piece--not the entire quesadilla. The server was no help and hard to find. When we fiinally brought it to the attention of the assistant manager, he was most apologetic and all 4 meals were comped--we only paid for the quacamole appetizer. We would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone--just too many mistakes coming from the kitchen that day, from presentation, to missing items, overcooked items, and very small portions at expensive prices. Go somewhere else!!

I was very disapointed with the food. The Margaritas were over priced and not authentic and we were over charged by 1 drink. The table side guacamole was the best part of the dinner. The dinners were bland in taste and did not have rice, which is staple with beans. Not getting rice is like asking for spagetti and meatballs and not getting the sauce. The location, decor and veiw is great. It's to bad the food was not as wonderful. I do not think I would return.
