I recently got married in Evergreen Colorado. Please read my experience with Jerri and PLEASE trust me and chose someone else. This caterer lacks compentency and her explanations were simply excuses. The truth is, she overbooks, and creates chaos that could of been avoided with another caterer. To start off the evening, Jerri and her staff was late throwing off a very precise timeline put together. This completely threw off my very expensive photographer's time line and I missed out on some very memorable photographic moments because of Jerri's lack of competency. The staff, using the term very loosely, was very unkempt, unprofessional and some even appeared to be underage. The bartender didn’t know which beer or wine was which nor being served a napkin with their cocktail. Items and packaging were strewn all over the deck giving a very disorganized appearance. The water wasn’t provided to the tables until after the meal service. One server dropped food on my chair, which my Maid of Honor cleaned up herself before I came back and nearly sat in it. The appetizer service was not handled properly and many again were served food without the napkins provided. To make matters worse, The buffet service and the food itself was subpar at best and and then the unthinkable happened!! We ran out of food! Jerri didn't even bring 1/2 of the prepared food I paid for and expected to serve to all my family, friends and co-workers! Half of the line had gone though and we were already out of chicken. Half my guest were served mashed potatoes and salad for dinner!! All of this is after the fact that my sister in law, and who knows who else, was served nearly raw chicken. These are only the items that I noticed and have been told about. What else happened that I don’t know of? I can’t help but to think we were pushed down her priority list due to overbooking’s and possibly higher dollar amount events scheduled on the same day. I am exceptionally disappointed and very upset with the finished product. I have brought all this up to my wedding planner as well and she stated she will no longer being doing business with Catering By George in the future. Again, maybe there were factors that contributed to all this that was beyond her control but this doesn’t make up for the fact she presents one product and serves up an entirely different outcome. Why this bride should be made to feel any less important than any other? After all, aren’t Brides her most important ingredient??
