I purchased a dozen cupcakes through the Social Living network and really loved them! They were chocolate with chocolate filling and a wonderful cream cheese topping! Just very tasty! Can't wait to order more; but have to travel 170 miles round trip to get them! Also, you might want to check on the size when ordering. There are two sizes and the small ones are pretty small. Still delicious, but small.

I first came in contact with Sweet Cakes when my husband and I were looking around for a bakery to do our wedding cake. We found their website and loved Melissa's work. So we set up a tasting and LOVED her cakes! They were delicious and Melissa and her husband were both very down to earth and nice people! She made our wedding cake exactly how we wanted it..with all the details we wanted done perfectly! She even made it a point to come say hello to me on my wedding day. She didn't just deliver the cake and leave..she came and found me at the venue and made a point to talk to me and give me a hug! I would highly recommend Sweet Cakes by Melissa to anyone for any occasion. We also had her make my husbands birthday cake and that too came out perfectly! We will also be going back for our sons 1st birthday cake! Oh and her chocolate peanut butter cupcakes are AMAZING! So delicious! If you are wanting a beautiful cake for your special occasion that tastes amazing and is made by a nice family business! Look no further!

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL SERVICE! Got a cake for my wedding, she was totally overbooked and didn't finalize my design until one week before and what we discussed WAS NOT what showed up. Totally sloppy, messy decorating, the fondant bow even fell off when I cut my cake. Forgot to include my cake topper and she did not fulfill my contract which included a one-year anniversary cake so we didn't have to save the top tier. Nearly two years after my wedding, no cake and not even a call back. Don't bother giving her your business there are tons of other bakers in Portland that deliver and actually fulfill their promises.

We ordered some gourmet cupcakes for work related event. Everyone just raved over how wonderful they were. We ordered 2 different flavors and they had filling in them. One had a white chocolate and blueberry filling and it was just amazing! They even did custom little decorations with our company logo on them. They were a huge hit!!!!

Ordered a cake for a birthday party, and was a bit disappointed with the way it looked. It wasn't as detailed as we had discussed at the time it was ordered. But most importantly, the cake did not taste like the flavour implied.

Very Happy! We ordered a 40th birthday cake from here and I couldn't keep from hearing everyone saying it was one of the best cakes they had ever had.. We did chocolate heaven with the cream cheese filling and it was PERFECT! I'm sure we will be ordering from them again..
