As many of you know (and perhaps some of you don't), our location has moved to Boardman: 6528 South Avenue, Boardman (Ohio), 44512 Phone: (330) 758-6245 I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your enthusiasm and support. Without you, my wife and I would not be in business, or enjoying the modest success we've strived so hard to achieve. Having started this endeavor out of the top floor kitchen of our former duplex on Clarencedale Avenue in Youngstown (just the two of us), and only four years later owning and operating a great shop in Boardman... the journey has been quite humbling and affirming to us. Since day one, we have stuck to our guns: put out a great product for a good price, and NEVER skimp on ingredients/quality or customer service -- without those key elements, it's NOTHING. And while we pride ourselves in having so many happy customers, it is an unfortunate side of business and/or public interaction that a handfull won't like us (or get our product, or fully understand what we do or try to achieve). While it is apparently impossible to please everyone, we never stop trying to achieve it. We do learn from our mistakes, and look forward to serving you all well for many years to come. My wedding was in October of 2008. My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary. Like alot of people we decided to save and freeze a portion of our cake just for this day. We pulled it out of the freezer the day before and for two days we talked and laughed about how bad it was going to be to eat year old cake. My husband was a bit more skeptic than me. After slicing a piece for me, him AND our 2 year old...I was the bravest and took the first bite. It was awesome. It really tasted just as wonderful as it did the day of the wedding. At our reception the cake was so good that even the caterers were asking me where we got it. A few of them even said it was best cake they ever had at a wedding!! I dont think I could say enough great things. My wedding was very last min. and our budget was quite small. They sat down with us and worked out all the prices. PLUS they gave us free cup cakes as testers and some to take home to our families!! Over all they were wonderful!! I would definatley keep them in mind for other parties including Birthdays!!

I went here to purchase some cupcakes and left feeling that I paid entirely too much money for them. They are cupcakes, not gold. The prices on some of the stuff need to come down. In my eyes a good old fashioned supermarket bakery is better, at least there they dont have the overhead that goes to the consumer.

The person who said that they have poor customer service is out of their minds. This place was amazing and treated me like my cake was the only one they had! They did the "Pete the Penguin" cake for me and it blew my guests and I away...They are truly the "Ace of Cakes" of the greater Youngstown Area. To the other person who said they have poor customer service...get real.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Clarencedale Cake. I ordered a birthday cake from Ellen for my son's third birthday -- I simply described what I was after and left the artwork up to them. All I can say is WOW! Every single person at his party commented and asked about his cake. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was exactly what we wanted: it was special. I can't tell you how many people at the party requested the name and information of Clarencedale Cake. Once we served the cake, we were in for yet another wonderful surprise. Not only did the cake look amazing but it TASTED AMAZING, too! It reminded me of the decadent cakes I ate while in France -- several people told me it was THE best cake they had ever tasted. That's saying something since I have a huge circle of family and friends that are cake lovers... Finally, the service of Clarencedale Cakes is superb. All my questions were answered, calls returned, deadlines met and prices beyond fair. I can promise that I will be ordering all our special occasion cakes from here in the future. Truthfully, I wish we had more special occasions so I could eat this cake more often!
