"Poor Service!"

I recently ordered a birthday cake from Bredenbeck's which was supposed to be ready at 7:00am. I arrived at 8:00am, thinking the cake would be complete. It was not ready and I had to wait 20 minutes for them to get the cake ready. I specifically stated that I only wanted balloons on the cake! It is presented to me with candy confetti on the cake, definitely not a cake for an adult and it looked like it came from Shoprite or some other supermarket. When you go to a bakery, you don't want a super market cake. I had no time to wait for the cake to be fixed. The clerk stated they could brush the confetti off. Of course the owner was not there. I called when the owner was there, she did not want to speak with me and I was told by another associate they would send me a credit for the error. Never received. Needless to say I have bough many cakes form this establishment and have not always been happy with the service or the baking. The cakes are not consistent. They are usually too sweet! We stopped purchasing them for a while because of that, even my young son complained. What kid complains about too much sugar. I had never complained after 12 years of patronizing this business. Needless to say I'm complaining now and they have lost a customer they could have kept if their service was not so poor. Disgruntled customer

Bredenbeck is the worst bakery in the Philadelphia region! The Owner not only is rude, but also does not value customers that have been using the bakery for years. When I phoned her to share with her my dissatisfication with the cakes, her response was that she thought the cakes were beautiful! She went on to say that I obviously spent to much on cake, and now was suffering from buyers remorse. I was so insulted and taken back by this comment, I physicially felt sick. First let me explain that the triflin cakes were deliveried to a $15,000 Sweet Sixteen birthday party for my one and only daughter, at a counrty club. I spent more than $500 on one of my daughters dresses, and she had THREE dress changes. Additionally, I could care less what she though was beautiful, as the payment for the pathetic cakes was taken from my credit card. I went to the bakery and was very specific about what I wanted, even had one of the counter staff take and copy pictures from their albumn of what I wanted. I chose a name cake that said KADEN in their book in block lettering, when I received my cake with the name MICAH on it the text was changed from block lettering to script. It was hard as a rock, and once cut the cake was dry and broke apart like cornbread. I ordered three cakes in total, and not one met my expectations. And one looked like a child decorated it! The cake in all three where unsatisfactory. I was sooooo outdone with the level of unprofessionalism, four letter word began to consume my entire vocabulary. Not only did I have to deal with disgusting cakes, but then the disrespectful attitude of the owner. It is my wish that anyone considering using this so-called bakery reconsider, and go elswhere. I would not recommend them to do a cake for my dog. Prospective customers, I wish your event to be notable for more than the terrible cake. Please do yourselves a favor, and seek other bakeries to fulfill your needs for bake goods for you special event!! I want to note two things: 1.) The counter staff consist of a group of well-mannered polite young people, so dont let this fool you!! The owner is truly a piece of work!! -subsequently bringing down the entire customer service experience. 2.) I have made it my mission to make sure that all is aware of the shotty work and non-professionalism at this bakery, however whenever/whereever possible Bredenbeck's have attempted to stiffle me. My repreated post on FaceBook have been deleted. So, again buyer beware!!
