"After a call, a consultation, a follow up call, they STILL got it wrong."

I moved to WA and was looking for a hairdresser that could do Japanese Thermal Straightening, specifically iStraight. I called and asked if they did Japanese Thermal Straightening and the woman on the phone said yes, and said they had one person there who did all sorts of straightening. I asked her if she used iStraight, and she said "oh I'm sure she does - she uses all sorts of products". I drove one hour for a consulation and the hairdresser sized up my hair, gave me a price, and I asked her "that's for iStraight?" and she said yes - I thought the price was a bit low, so when she called with a follow up call before the appointment, I asked *again* "you are using the iStraight system?" and she said "oh yes" I show up for the appointment and she pulls out some crummy lye relaxer and tries to get me to destroy my hair with that garbage. I said I thought she said she was going to use iStraight, and she claimed that that was the first time I mentioned that!!!!!!!!!! She then tried to talk me into using yet another product (anti-curl) that I did NOT ask for and did NOT want, which I did not want on my hair unless I did some research first. I wanted iStraight because that was is successful on my hair and what I have used for years!!! why on earth would I switch to an unknown product just to satisfy her laziness and lack of desire to listen to her clients! She then talked me into a haircut and straight ironing - $50 for what I could get for a fraction of the price back at home. If all these salons here are this flakey I'm going to keep flying back home to get my hair done because this was totally unacceptable
