It’s a well known fact that Vegas weddings are the #2 revenue source for Las Vegas after gambling, and over 100,000 couples tie the knot at a Vegas wedding every year, so if you’re thinking of having a Vegas wedding, you're not alone!
Vegas weddings are so popular because it is so easy for couples to obtain a marriage license. Unlike in other states, there is no blood test or waiting period requirement to get married. As the line for marriage licenses can be quite long on some days (especially weekends), couples deciding on having a Vegas wedding should allow at least three hours or more from the time they start the process to the time their wedding ceremony takes place.
To accommodate the increasing demand, most Vegas wedding chapels are open 24 hours and wedding ceremonies can be performed in as little as 15 minutes. If you want your Vegas wedding to take place during the weekend, try to reserve your wedding chapel at least one week in advance to ensure availability. If you are planning to have your Vegas wedding on a more popular day for weddings (such as Valentines Day or New Year), it is recommended that you reserve your wedding date as far in advance as possible.
